Advanced First Aid - 2 Day
Level 4 in the REC scheme. This course is available in two formats; either as an Remote course for those venturing further a field or as a Rescue course for those working with rescue personnel or in higher risk environments.
Both strands share a Core Content as well as specialist content for each.
A current First Aid course is required before attending this course.

- CSM Checks for Wound Burns and Fracture Assessment
- Spinal Management & Transportation
- Automated External Defibrillation
- Fluid Therapy
- Hypothermia - Advanced Level
- Communication Monitoring & Recording
Rescue Syllabus
- Airway Adjuncts - OPA & NPA
- Bag Valve Mask use
- Helmet Removal
- Medical Gases
- Drug Use (incl. Subcutaneous and Intramuscular administration)
On successful completion of the Advanced (Rescue) course, candidates are also awarded both the Medical Gas and AED competency certificates.

On successful completion of the Advanced (Expedition) course, candidates are also awarded the AED competency certificate.
