5 days for the price of 4?
We set our standards on the best possible, not the bare minimum; The Awarding Organisation's guidance is that the course should comprise of a minimum of 24 hours delivery time. A four day course would be 6 hours per day, not including breaks or assessments
Many providers run this style of course over 4 days, some will run the course over 3 days even with 'additional content', and for as little as £250.00 per person. You really do get what you pay for.
We offer this course over 5 Days at no extra cost; the additional time ensures that you have time with 'hands on kit'. First Aid is a practical skill. You can sit through a presentation but it is time engaged in practical activities which consolidates the learning.
A 5 day course also allows for a full day of practical scenarios - not lectures but realistic casualty simulation in challenging situations.
If you just want a certificate, that’s allowed. If you want to learn and perfect your skills and leave with increased competence and confidence, we can do that for free.
This course is assessed by Multiple Choice Question exam and Observation of practical skills.
Certification is issued by the Qualifications Network.
The course is recognised by Ofqual as being a Level 3 award on the Regulated Qualifications Framework.
The qualification meets more Grade D level descriptors on the Royla College of Surgens Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care emergency medicine skills framework - PHEM Skill - than any other Level 3 pre-hospital care course.
Grade D - Nationally certificated non health care professional pre hospital provider caring for patients as a secondary role. i.e. D13 Enhanced certificated police officers, Fire Service IEC. Several types of UKSAR trained personnel.
Training can be delivered here in Pembrokeshire or at your venue. Because of the practical nature of the course it is ideally delivered with access to the normal or anticipated working environment of the candidates, be that a petrochemical plant, maritime environment or any other high-risk or remote environment.
